Salah's Liverpool medical rescheduled on Thursday

The word around the campfire is that Roma winger Mohamed Salah is not yet on Merseyside, but is expected to be at Melwood tomorrow for his medical and to complete the move to Liverpool.

The 25-year-old Switzerland global has been linked with a move to Roma as a replacement for Liverpool-bound Mohamed Salah.

As The Mirror's Dave Maddock reports, Liverpool aren't pausing to reflect on their work well done as they look to secure two more big signings which, according to the journalist, will break Salah's club record fee before the end of June.

Speaking to Liverpool's official site about making the move to Anfield, he said: 'I'm very excited to be here.

Everyone can see the coach gives everything.

The Egypt worldwide moved to Fiorentina on loan in February 2015 before signing permanently for Roma last summer after a loan spell at the club.

"We are settled with him, too, and are hoping to see a good season from him next season".

During his time with Roma, Salah made 83 appearances in all competitions, scoring 34 goals and helping them to Champions League qualifications after a third and second-place finish.

Salah, who has agreed terms that will double his wages to £90,000 per week, becomes Liverpool's second signing of the summer following 19-year-old Dominic Solanke's £3m move from Chelsea.

"His record in Italy has been outstanding and he possesses qualities that will enhance our team and squad".

Salah was said to be a Reds target while he was at Basel before he eventually signed for the Stamford Bridge outfit for £11m in 2014.

Introducing Salah will not only bolster the team's attacking strength in depth but also provide much-needed width and an additional source of the explosive pace and directness that saw Sadio Mane perfectly suited to Klopp's setup in his first campaign at the club.
