Mauro Ranallo Returning To Wrestling To Do Commentary For NXT

Months after the popular Canadian announcer had made a decision to mutually part ways with WWE amid bullying allegations against his SmackDown Live colleague John Bradshaw Layfield (aka JBL), Ranallo will be calling matches for the company's developmental brand after coming to terms on a new deal. It'll be great to hear his voice calling the matches on Wednesday nights on the WWE Network, and even better during those incredible Takeover events that produce some of the best wrestling matches of the year. WWE and I mutually agreed to end my responsibilities on SmackDown having nothing to do with rumors about disputes.

At the time of his original announcement, Ranallo didn't mention when he would be starting up at NXT.

If all goes well after two years, don't be surprised if Mauro replaces Michael Cole as the lead announcer for Monday Night Raw.

Mauro Ranallo won't just be returning to WWE on the next set of NXT television tapings, as the announcer confirmed on another tweet.

Since his departure from WWE Ranallo has been all over boxing and MMA.

It was also recently announced that Mauro will be doing play-by-play for Conor McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather, so it's going to be a big summer for Mr. Ranallo. So they decided Mauro would be a better fit in NXT.

The news has been met with overwhelming support on social media from fans and the excitement to return is clear from Ranallo himself who is an avid WWE fan.

Ranallo has been absent from WWE programming since mid-March, though, and announced in April that he reached an agreement with the company to part ways.
