Liverpool want more from Napoli for Alberto Moreno

The Reds are demanding at least €17m [£15m] to sell the Spaniard, despite the fact that he made just two Premier League starts in the 2016-17 season.

According to the Daily Mail, the Reds have reignited their interest in Ghoulam during their talks with Napoli over the sale of Moreno and could look to make a move for the France-born Algeria global as part of the deal to take the Spaniard in the opposite direction.

Moreno, who Liverpool bought from Sevilla for £12m three years ago, lost his place in the starting XI to James Milner last season.

An £11million offer from Napoli for the defender has been rejected by the Reds with the club holding out for £15million, according to the Telegraph's Chris Bascombe.

Napoli must go higher if they're to prise Alberto Moreno away from Liverpool.

Faouzi Ghoulam is wanted by Liverpool.

And it could well be that they return for the Naples club's current first-choice left-back, Algeria worldwide Ghoulam.

The possibility of a swap deal has recently opened up after the Italian side made an £11m bid for Moreno, who is now deemed surplus to requirements at Anfield.

Can Milner continue at left-back?

The club that is showing the most interest in securing his services is Napoli, who have lodged an official bid worth £10.5 million for the 24-year-old. Former club Sevilla, though, have signalled that at the price Liverpool are asking they aren't interested in signing the player despite that a return to his boyhood club would be Moreno's first choice.

Hull City's Andrew Robertson and Celtic's Kieran Tierney have also been quoted as potential options for Klopp, but the club have been focusing on finalising the move for Mohamed Salah in recent weeks.
