It means the Real Madrid and Portugal star risks further fines, and even sentencing, as the process gets set to be a drawn-out affair.
Mourinho became a Spanish tax resident in 2010 when he joined Real, but did not declare image rights earnings because he had transferred his image rights to a company based in the British Virgin Islands in 2004. I know Cristiano. He's a great guy and a professional. He's a very good person.
While this is still ongoing and Ronaldo hasn't been proven guilty yet, rumours which have now been confirmed as true, have circulated that Ronaldo is no longer happy in Spain and at Real Madrid. However, recent assurances from Real president Perez has also given his backing to the Portuguese frontman.
Mendes' agency, Gestifute, released a statement saying Mourinho had not received any official notification about the accusations against him.
The talisman, who netted 15 goals in 14 La Liga appearances last season, is said to be keen on a move to Old Trafford to work with Mourinho. His meeting with Perez will come after the Confederations Cup's July 2 finale.
"All I can say is that Cristiano Ronaldo has a contract with Madrid", Perez continued.
"The clause for Cristiano is £1bn".
"It is a person decision and if a person really wants something to happen then it will end up happening, but I see it as unlikely".
Perez said no clubs have made any offers so far for Ronaldo, according multiple reports.
However, Perez said that he had not spoken to Ronaldo, who is on duty for Portugal at the Confederations Cup in Russian Federation, which ends on July 2.
