To recall, the smartphone was launched in China as the Honor V9 earlier this year. The device is expected to launch in India in the coming month; July. The Pro model does come with improved features and better specifications.
Talking about the dual camera setup on the Honor 8 Pro, it sports two 12-megapixel sensors with f/2.2 aperture, laser autofocus, LED flash, and 4K video recording.
"The two lenses work in tandem to deliver the ideal shot - the monochrome lens captures a black-and-white image with incredible depth of detail while RGB lens ensures vivid colour reproduction". For selfies, the smartphone is equipped with an 8-megapixel camera at the front with f/2.0 aperture. The Honor 8 Pro price in India has not yet been revealed. The Honor 9 is cradled by 3D curved glass with stunning and distinctive colours. The fingerprint scanner is integrated into the home button of the phone, rather than the one present at the back of the Honor 8. The smartphone is powered by the company's in-house Kirin 960 octa-core processor which is paired with 6GB of RAM. There is also an option to further expand the storage via microSD card.
The device runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and is juiced by a 4000mAh battery. Connectivity options on the device also include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, GPS/A-GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB-Type C port for superfast charging and data transfer. In these European markets, the Honor 8 Pro retailed for 549 Euros, which is approximately Rs 38,200, so we could expect the smartphone to retail in India around the same price segment too. Honor 8 Pro is the successor to the company's previous Honor 8 smartphone, which was launched in in October past year.
