Forecast: Afternoon Showers May Darken The First Day Of Summer

As we get into the afternoon temperatures will level off in the low-middle 90s under partly cloudy skies. Winds will also pick up today, with gusts to near 25 miles per hour this afternoon.

Finishing out the week into the weekend, we will have rain chances back up to 30% on Thursday, and 60% on Friday and Saturday.

SATURDAY: Weather Aware Day: Scattered showers and storms. Showers will be possible early on Tuesday with cooler temperatures with front south of the area.

Friday looks like it will be pretty warm and humid, with a high in the upper 80s and a good chance of showers or thunderstorms. Some heavier downpours could also bring some localized areas of flooding. It won't rain the whole day, but a storm is possible during both the morning and afternoon.

Tropical Depression Cindy continues to weaken. This afternoon's high will be in the mid 80s, and we will have a mix of sun and clouds because of a wobbly cold front that's been hanging out in the neighborhood. Overnight lows will be warm with a south breeze and plenty of humidity in the 70's. The high reaches the low 80s. Highs will drop into the mid 80s on Sunday. We might be able to squeak out a dry Sunday before another round of showers arrives on Monday. Hazy sun and clouds can be expected Friday morning, with temperatures quickly warming into the 80s by noon. Most of the day is not raining, but humidity will come up and so will the wind, gusting from the southwest 25 to 30 miles per hour late in the day.
