Mourinho doesn't want Manchester United to sign Ronaldo

Denis Irwin has claimed Jose Mourinho is the right man for Manchester United - and can inspire the club to a title challenge next season.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho was on Tuesday accused of evading 3.3 million euro (USD 3.7 million) in tax at Real Madrid, the public prosecutor's office in Madrid announced.

A statement published on his behalf read: "Jose Mourinho has not received any notification with regards to the news published today".

Jose Mourinho is being accused of defrauding the Spanish government of up to 3.3 million pounds from 2011 and 2012 and has yet to give a statement regarding the claim. Ronaldo has denied the charges.

The 28-year-old threatened to leave Spain, after he claimed he was being treated like a criminal when authorities launched a £13m tax probe.

José Mourinho would join a growing list of football stars being investigated and prosecuted in Spain over accusations of tax evasion, in particular in connection with allegedly undeclared income from the sale of image rights by using companies based outside the country.

The hearing will take place at 09:00 GMT on July 31 in a court at Pozuelo de Alarcón, in the suburbs of Madrid, according to Spanish press reports.

Now "Cope" reported about the readiness of Ronaldo to pay the required amount in favor of the tax service of Spain.

Last year, Barcelona forward Lionel Messi and his father, Jorge Horacio Messi, were found guilty on three counts of defrauding tax authorities of 4.1 million euros ($4.6 million) from income made from image rights. "I have a good relationship with him after working together for eight years".

President Florentino Perez is said to have calmed the player down.

"I'm sure that Cristiano meets all his tax requirements, it must be a confusion that will be cleared up". "No one has made us a single offer-not for Cristiano Ronaldo, not for Alvaro Morata, not for James Rodriguez".
