"I have very little knowledge about the differences between Virat and Anil".
Kumble had conceded that a fallout with Kohli was the reason behind his decision to resign as India's cricket coach, claiming that their partnership had become "untenable" despite attempts to resolve the misunderstandings.
"In light of these "reservations", I believe it is best I hand over this responsibility to whomever the CAC and BCCI deem fit", he wrote. "But it is a really sad day for Indian cricket", Gavaskar said.
After Anil Kumble's resignation Bindra tweeted about his own equation with German Uwe Riesterer, a long-time member of his coaching staff.
The Cricket Advisory Committee comprising Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman had apparently given the green signal for an extension to Kumble's tenure, which was to expire after the Champions Trophy in England, but with a rider that all pending issues should be resolved amicably.

The Indian team is in the West Indies without a head coach. Malhotra is now in West Indies - his last assignment as Indian team's administrative manager. It was Kumble's first assignment after taking charge as head coach. Former cricketers expressed their views on the move, via Twitter, terming the move to be a huge loss for the Indian cricketing fraternity.
Gavaskar further suggested that the Indian team will need a coach before their away series against Sri Lanka.
Virat Kohli may have refused to admit that India buckled under pressure against Pakistan in Sunday's Champions Trophy final here at The Oval, but he might be the first to admit that it was the demands of coach Anil Kumble that led to the fallout between the two. However the report also added that Kohli was ready to continue working under the former Indian captain if he was forced to do so.
Former India opener Virender Sehwag and Australia's Tom Moody are reported to be among the possible replacements for Kumble, whose contract ran out after the Champions Trophy.
In the CAC meeting, it was discussed on how Kumble could have avoided such a talk right after losing a big final.Yet, there is also a section within the BCCI who feel that the role of a coach will be greatly compromised if he doesn't take a position in the face of adversity or defeat.
