Xbox One X Console Coming In November

Phil Spencer, Head of Xbox, announces original Xbox Backward Compatibility at the Xbox E3 2017 Briefing on Sunday, June 11, 2017 in Los Angeles.

Once the Xbox One X hits stores later this year, both Microsoft and Sony will have launched three flavors of their home game consoles. That's why we're able to say, over 30 games will have 4K updates for Xbox One X when we launch it.

There's no word from Microsoft when this new feature will go live but it will give Xbox users the chance to play their old classic titles. It is much more powerful than the PS4 Pro, boasting 6 Teraflops over the Pro's 4.2 and 12GB of GDDR5 RAM over the Pro's 8GB. It will come with one terabyte of and an ultra-HD Blu-ray drive for 4K movies and shows. As we know already, many 360 games are compatible with Xbox One, but this week they announced their expansion on that with the classic Xbox library. The only sticking point for many people is that the console costs $499, more expensive than Sony's PlayStation 4 Pro. "There's nothing technically that would keep any game a console game maker is building who wants to take advantage of the capability here from making Xbox One X the very best version of every one of those games".

KitGuru Says: While I'm not a fan of the original Xbox controller, I can appreciate that it'll bring a lot of nostalgia for original Xbox users. That and Xbox One is struggling as it is because most of its good games are also available on PC. On the stations that Microsoft had set up at E3, we got some hands on time with a range of titles, including indie stunners like Ashen, Microsoft Studios headlines Forza Motorsport 7, Assassin's Creed Origins and Crackdown 3. Is the PlayStation 4 Pro a worthy rival to the Xbox One X or is it meant to challenge the Xbox One S? "We had 42 games, 22 of them with console exclusivity that I could put on-stage that all are games where you could see the dates for them and when they're coming", Spencer said. The new console is slimmer than the Xbox One S, another Xbox One variant which the company released earlier this year.
