We Think Steve Bannon Just Fat-Shamed Sean Spicer

Deputy White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders dodged questions of a promotion Wednesday, saying she serves at the pleasure of the president. One White House official said Spicer and Chief of Staff Reince Preibus held preliminary discussions last week with Ingraham, while Chief Strategist Steve Bannon met with Martosko. "Obviously we've been dealing with a lot of other issues today".

During his first on-camera press briefing in over a week, the press secretary did not answer a question about whether Trump believed the Russians interfered in the USA election, saying he hadn't spoken with Trump about the topic.

Steve Bannon had some harsh words to explain why Sean Spicer has been giving fewer TV press briefings lately.

As you can imagine, numerous journalists who cover the White House press briefings aren't happy about being banned from recording them.

The taxpayers are footing the bill, and they deserve to know why this administration is dodging public accountability.

White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer declined to definitively answer when asked if President Donald Trump believes Russian Federation interfered in the 2016 US presidential election. According to The Telegraph, Bannon told a media outlet that Spicer had stopped doing press briefings on camera because he'd gotten "fatter". For months, anonymous sources within the White House have whispered that Spicer is not long for this world.

White House spokesman Sean Spicer takes a question at a press briefing at the White House on June 20, 2017.

Spicer was unable to say whether or not anyone in the White House has seen language on the Senate's version.

Still, despite these rampant reports, Spicer continues to maintain his position, however tenuous, as the mouthpiece of the White House.

Later, Acosta's colleague at CNN, Brian Stelter, said that criticism of the White House has grown as access has been steadily rolled back. Spicer then became the butt of a joke when actress Melissa McCarthy took on the role of the press secretary during multiple episodes of "Saturday Night Live".
