Manchester City have completed the signing of Ederson from Benfica.
The promising teenager played 30 games before signing Primeira Liga side Rio Ave after just a season.
Last season at Benfica he won both the Portuguese league and cup playing 27 times and keeping 18 clean sheets.
The Portuguese club had already announced via an official statement that they had accepted the offer for the 23-year-old, who will now become the second most expensive goalkeeper in the history of the game when he formally joins the club on July 1. Those were important factors in making my decision.
Full-backs seem to be at the top of the agenda for Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola this summer.
Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City are on high alert after Southampton defender Ryan Bertrand reportedly told friends he's pushing for a summer move. "Next season, we will have to be focused to achieve the goal of winning trophies".
City's Director of Football, Txiki Begiristain, added: "We are delighted to bring Ederson to Manchester City".
Bertrand, who rose through the youth ranks at Chelsea before his £11m switch to St.Mary's two summers ago after a successful season-long loan spell, has made 107 appearances in all competitions for Southampton.
City would provide the biggest obstacle to Chelsea in getting any reported moved over the line, with the Citizens having been following Bertrand for a number of months as they look to revolutionise their own options at full-back at the Etihad.
