Eloy Jimenez shatters stadium light with home run

Jimenez, a 20-year-old outfielder, is the top prospect in the Cubs' system and made the Carolina League All-Star Team as a representative of the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. The ball towered through the night sky before slamming into a light bulb.

Most movie fans have seen this Herculean feat before.

Without the help of professional cameras we weren't able to see the light shatter - but either way it's really impressive. Sicnarf Loopstok and Jacob Gatewood were the finalists. Before then, though, Jimenez's name will be popping up in a number of trade-deadline scenarios for the Cubs, who could deal him for pitching help, much as they traded Gleyber Torres past year in a package for Aroldis Chapman. In the final scene of baseball classic, Hobbs clobbers a home run into the lights to win the pennant for the New York Knights.

Chicago Cubs prospect Eloy Jimenez is putting together a hell of a season in the minor leagues. He signed with the franchise in 2013 on a $2.8 million signing bonus.

But one minor league player made a decision to channel his inner Roy Hobbs in a home run derby.
