The National Hockey League and adidas Tuesday unveiled the new ADIZERO Authentic NHL jerseys and uniforms for all 31 NHL teams, including the Colorado Avalanche, which will make their on-ice debut with the 2017-18 season.
That's not a mistake.
Also included in the unveiling was the first look at the jersey for the Vegans Golden Knights, which is a gray jersey with a gold knight's helmet in the center that also contains a "V".
The league's release through adidas says the new jersey is up to 19 percent lighter than its predecessor, is cooler for players due to much more breathable fabrics, is 27 percent stronger in burst testing and up to 72 percent tougher in abrasion testing.
Given those changes, it's a mystery why there wasn't more streamlining for the Arizona Coyotes, Los Angeles Kings, Ottawa Senators, and Washington Capitals.
The Bruins' last major jersey redesign occurred before the 2007-08 season, when the team's new Reebok Edge sweaters featured an altered spoked B and a new alternate logo on the shoulder.
There do not appear to be any significant changes to the appearance of the uniform, just minor tweaks, after Adidas took over producing the jerseys from Reebok.
The Carolina Hurricanes also have a bit of a new look, adding black to the sleeves and bottom. The Flyers uniforms remain similar.
What did you think about the new jerseys? Other sweaters that offer a noticeably different look include the Minnesota Wild (cream stripe behind the crest) and Edmonton Oilers (switching to orange home sweaters).
Who will the Chicago Blackhawks draft?
