Real president Perez "not contemplating" Ronaldo departure

His representatives Gestifute have denied the accusation, while his club have said they are "absolutely convinced that our player... will prove his total innocence in this process".

Perez says Ronaldo, who has also been linked with a move to Paris St-Germain, is not motivated by money. He won three Premier League titles, one Champions League trophy and one FA Cup in those six seasons.

"Two years ago we had the disaster of the late fax, they (United) sent it two minutes late and that was it", Perez said in an interview with Spanish daily Marca on Tuesday, the day after earning a third consecutive mandate with Real. "And I'm sure he's happy at that club".

"I still haven't spoken to Cristiano Ronaldo".

Ronaldo joined Real from Manchester United in 2009 for a then world record fee of 96 million euros and is their all-time top scorer with 404 goals in 394 games.

His appearance at the hearing on July 31 has the potential to play a huge role in whether Ronaldo leaves or remains with Real Madrid.

"All I can say is that Cristiano Ronaldo has a contract with Madrid".

However club president Florentino Perez disclosed that no offers had been received by Real to tempt Ronaldo away and the club was determined to keep him.

It looked certain De Gea was set to leave after six years at Old Trafford and United were determined to get the best possible price they can for the Spain worldwide, but the landscape has changed over the last two weeks.

"To this day, nobody has offered us anything for any player and we have not made any offer".

United have been strongly linked with a move for their former forward, but Perez is not thinking about the possibility of Real losing their talisman.

Should he leave, there are only a number of possible destinations.

On June 13, the Spanish tax authorities filed a complaint against the Real Madrid player for tax offences spanning four years.

If Wayne Rooney leaves the club, the team would be without a real talisman, and Rooney has been on the decline for a while now. "We are delighted with him as a person and as a player".
