Ronaldo 'to exit Real Madrid' over tax woes

The Real Madrid man has reportedly been left frustrated with the case and now wants to leave Spain, with Manchester United of course being linked with a move for their former number seven.

Ronaldo's representatives Gestifute have denied the accusation, while Madrid have said they are "absolutely convinced that our player Cristiano Ronaldo will prove his total innocence in this process".

United's only signing so far has been Sweden defender Victor Lindelof from Benfica.

Jose Mourinho is keen on working with Ronaldo again and wants Ed Woodward to do all he can to bring the forward back.

Manchester United was always going to be his most likely destination, with Cristiano, several times in the past, professing his love for the club where he spent six fruitful years.

"I had the same situation with Manchester United when he made a decision to leave and I signed him", Calderon said.

Real Madrid are considering freezing negotiations with Manchester United over Alvaro Morata in the wake of speculation surrounding the future of Cristiano Ronaldo.

It is understood that Ronaldo has told the club of his desire to move on, but Fernando Santos is questioning where the stories have come from. With the rise of Monaco youngster Kylian Mbappe, Madrid will be looking for a swap deal for Ronaldo.

While we're nearly certain that he'll be walking out in a white strip at the Santiago Bernabeu in a few weeks time, for now, it's our duty to report that he "wants to leave".

On Thursday Ronaldo, who signed a new five-year contract in November, posted a picture of himself with his fingers to his lips on Instagram with the caption "Sometimes the best answer it's to be quiet".

A Bola has listed Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Monaco among the potential suitors for the player and that they might table an offer of 180 million euros ($201 million).
