BGSU student among three found dead

NORTH ROYALTON Police say a mother and her two adult daughters have been found dead at a home in Ohio.

The 45-year-old man was removed from a home in Brunswick, south of Cleveland in the United States on Tuesday morning.

Police say the suspect had a handgun and was subdued with a stun gun.

OH police said on Tuesday that a 45-year-old man arrested that morning is a suspect in both the triple homicide of a mother and her two adult daughters, who were found dead on Sunday, and the fatal shooting of a couple found dead on Monday.

His connection to the dead women is unknown, Brunswick police said.

It's unclear what connected Brinkman, 45, to either John or Taylor.

Authorities say they are investigating the deaths as homicides.

Brinkman also worked at the family's business for a number of years, Maier said. At a news conference on Tuesday morning, the Brunswick Division of Police said the standoff with Brinkman started at about 9 p.m. Monday night at a residence in Brunswick, Ohio. George Brinkman, who had been house-sitting for the couple, was the only person who had access to Rogell and Roberta's home. When she realized who she was talking to, she contacted police immediately in an attempt to help aid their efforts to bring him into custody.

The Johns were killed after the three women were killed in North Royalton, Maier said.

Brinkman is scheduled to appear Thursday morning in Parma Municipal Court, North Royalton Detective Dave Loeding said. Police suspect the daughters were killed elsewhere in the home before their bodies were moved to their mother's bed.

The 911 call to police was made by a friend of one of the daughters, Loeding said.

FBI investigators at the Brunswick house Tuesday declined to discuss the case. He also has a criminal record for charges of forgery and theft.

Brinkman received three years' probation on two of the counts of receiving stolen property.

The Stark County Sheriff's Office stated it has two arrest warrants for Brinkman and he will be charged with two counts of murder in the deaths of the couple. He was sentenced in February 2000 and was released from prison in September 2000.
