The Golden State Warriors are prepared to do everything possible to re-sign Stephen Curry according to Joe Lacob, the majority owner of the Golden State Warriors. Throughout the year, both players and coaches across the league have been very public and very clear about their feelings regarding the Trump presidency, with Warriors coach Steve Kerr speaking out against the president's proposed Muslim ban and Spurs coach Gregg Popovich offering an indictment of Trump. "'You've got people of every race, colour, religion, creed, whatever, and everybody's just coming together and loving this team". "This whole day, this whole atmosphere, is unbelievable". Cleveland would have had the momentum going into Game 6 back in Cleveland, putting the Warriors in a risky position. (The Cavs also didn't do the cable networks any favors, as they advanced to the Finals after appearing in just 13 playoff games.) With Durant in the lineup, Golden State this postseason played in just 17 of 28 possible games, whereas last year's team took a more scenic route to the finals, grinding out 24 of 28 possible games. The Cavaliers play in Quicken Loans Arena. "It definitely was a Quickie".
Finals MVP Kevin Durant was on a different bus with his mom. After receiving heavy criticism for joining Golden State and many calling the move "weak" and bad for the National Basketball Association, the star had to perform and excel on the biggest stage, and he did just that.
"We all would love to keep the group together", Livingston said. "Thank you for the support".
Regardless of how badly the Warriors wanted to redeem themselves, this Finals was most important for all-star Durant. But going from Russell Westbrook's running mate in Oklahoma City to world champion with Golden State capped off an interesting season for Durant.
Green said it was in response to the "Ultimate Warrior" shirt LeBron James wore last season after beating the Warriors in The Finals.
On Wednesday, Kerr was a guest on Lowe's podcast, "The Lowe Post," and admitted, "We probably ran it more in that game than we did literally all season long, combined".
League sources told ESPN earlier this month that Durant, who holds a player option for the 2017-18 season, is willing to take less to help retain the core of the team. "They want to talk about super team this, super team that". If you give all your effort and all the fight and all the heart you got, it doesn't necessarily mean you're going to win, and that's what's tough about sports. "But, obviously as a team, we're going to have a conversation".
Golden State went 40 years between titles after winning the crown in 1975. Bay Area rappers E-40, Mistah F.A.B., G-Eazy and Too $hort showed support to their hometown team.
With the title celebrations in full swing this week, Thompson didn't forget about the fan and his toaster and extended him an invite that was sure to make his day.
