In 2016-17, Ronaldo helped Real win the Spanish title for the first time since 2012 as well as retain the Champions League.
You would imagine that if Ronaldo were determined to leave Real Madrid, he would be open to returning to United.
And Madrid-based publication, Marca, reports that the 32-year-old will do just that, after revealing his plans to his compatriots.
"I had the same situation with Manchester United when he chose to leave and I signed him", Calderon said. One of those focuses on destination, with Manchester United and PSG picked out.
"I hope he hasn't chose to leave but if he has already made his mind up, it will be hard to change the situation".
With the collapse of their move for Antoine Griezmann and Andrea Belotti proving too expensive, Ronaldo could be the ideal tonic for United even if it is hard to imagine a scenario where the Portuguese made a decision to leave Madrid and United hadn't already been informed.
A source confirmed to ESPN FC that Ronaldo wants to leave Los Blancos after being accused of tax evasion.
Manchester United would love to bring the Portuguese superstar back to Old Trafford but already have ground to make up following a secret meeting between Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes and PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi in Cardiff on the afternoon of the Champions League final.
"He's a fighter and he's in good shape".
Calderon said: "I'm sure Cristiano won't leave Europe. He has three or four more years to be a top, top player and he would like to keep winning titles, anywhere he goes". "Anyone who wants him will be prepared to pay him a lot of money". Current manager Jose Mourinho and Ronaldo ended on bad terms at Madrid and Fergie may be the only one to heal the wounds. Ronaldo will turn 33 next season, so while he's still capable of doing incredible things, scoring 42 goals in 46 games this past season, he has started to slow down. Finally, he plays for a coach he respects and whose advice he follows, someone that has convinced him to rest during the season in order to finish in his best form.
