Here's How To Get Your Hands on Samsung's Bixby Voice Assistant

According to the report, both these variants will be launched in European and Latin American markets initially.

Samsung has bigger plans for Bixby than just smartphones, expecting to implement the virtual assistant into all of its products in the future.

Finally, that dedicated Bixby button on your Galaxy S8 will have a goal. Now, following in the footsteps of Google, Apple and Microsoft, Samsung has announced a preview for its own virtual assistant, Bixby. Once that's completed, Samsung will send you a confirmation link so you can begin beta testing Bixby and its new voice capabilities. A lot of agents are looking at being knowledgeable, meaning that you can ask questions like, 'Who's president of the US?' A lot of these are glorified extensions of search. Bixby's full version was reportedly set to launch to Galaxy users in the US later this month.

Mind you, not everyone will be let in.

Samsung's much-touted, but mostly absent, smart assistant continues to amble its way to the U.S. After a big false start during the Galaxy S8's launch, Bixby Voice is finally making its stateside debut. Even though the phones launched with a dedicated Bixby button, the lack of voice support and generally mundane features have rendered the assistant essentially pointless.

That could be later today, tomorrow, or weeks from now. However, that could be changing soon, as Samsung's taking sign-ups for people who want to help test out the voice-control features. Hey Bixby, what's taking so long?
