Derby sign defender Wisdom from Liverpool

Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter after it was confirmed that Andre Wisdom has agreed personal terms with Derby ahead of a switch away from Anfield.

Wisdom will be part of a raft of sales as Merseyside's finest seek to increase funds to bring in top quality players in what is essentially Jürgen Klopp's second active transfer window as Liverpool manager.

He is expected to do rgar before the end of the month, though only once he has returned from holiday.

What were the key numbers behind Wisdom's previous spell at Derby?

Wisdom, a graduate of Liverpool's youth squad, made his senior debut in 2012 and has since been loaned out to English sides Derby, West Bromwich Albion, Norwich city and Austrian champions FC Salzburg.

He has also represented England at Under 16, 17, 19 and 21 level throughout his career but has not received a call-up to the first team.

The length of the 24-year-old's contract has not been specified, but he will be returning to a club where he made 38 appearances during a loan spell in the 2013/14 season. In fact, he can hold up his own even in the Premier League but Liverpool are looking for a sale.

Wisdom can play either at centre-back or full-back.

The fee being reported is said to be around £2 million but this could rise to more than £4 million in the future depending on a range of factors.
