The chief minister had lunch with Dalits at Harmanpur village in Kampierganj area, where he also unveiled a statue of Ambedkar.
Many analysts pointed out the glaring hypocrisy of the BJP by highlighting why the party had been silent on the issue of plight of widows in India and dowry deaths, which are far more in numbers than women being affected by triple talaq.
First, Yogi Adityanath is very popular in north Bihar, much like he is in eastern Uttar Pradesh. "Why do you want to deprive dignified life to these women?"
Maurya said the state government is constantly working to improve the road connectivity in the state and 73 state highways will be developed as National Highways by the central government as per the decisions taken at the meeting of the chief minister with Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari on Monday. He also demanded that Kumar immediately crack down on illegal slaughterhouses. "And I will not take rest till a BJP Government is installed here".
"The Muslim people feel safe and secure under the BJP rule in Uttar Pradesh and that sufficiently answers questions raised (by my detractors). Bihar's so-called Grand Alliance is based on shaky grounds and will not last forever", he said.
"There was no policy earlier and doctors were transferred in cities depending on how much money they spend. This will not do in BJP regime now", he said.
Leading portal DNA quoted Adityanath as saying,"When I look at Nitish and Lalu, I think, kehu Rahim kaise nibhe, ber-ker ke sang (how will jujube and banana stay together)... nature will not tolerate it". "But, a safai abhiyan (clean campaign) is to start in Bihar soon".
"There is an atmosphere of hatasha (despair), nirasha (disappointment) and andhkaar (darkness) in Bihar at present", he said, adding that the state was lagging behind "despite Centre's many efforts".
"From development point of view, it is important that districts in Uttar Pradesh have low-priced air connectivity with the rest of the country and inauguration of this terminal is an effort in that direction", Adityanath said.
