What was the most freakish item you have ever tried smuggling into a hospital?
Shelby Hennick, 21, came up with the idea with her mother.
Hennick, a 21-year-old veterinary technician told BuzzFeed her grandmother's beloved pet dog Patsy played along with the plan as she managed to stroll past hospital staff.
Shelby Hennick's grandmother was hospitalized a few days ago after she had a bad reaction to a medication, according to multiple reports.
Fortunately, Hennick's grandmother was found in time and quickly taken to hospital.
The veterinary technician made a decision to wrap Patsy in a blanket, put her over her shoulder, and managed to sneak her into the hospital looking like a baby.
Hospitals have individualized policies on whether dogs can be allowed inside and where, if at all.
"Nothing was planned, I just by chance had a blanket in my auto, swaddled her up and just walked in. Luckily we've been in the hospital enough lately that they remembered who we were so we just walked by and waved to them!"
Hennick has received so much feedback, "I didn't think there was even this many people on Twitter", she said.
She says no one gave her a second look, adding that the dog was licking her arm the whole way up to her grandma's room, where she then closed the door.
Hennick's grandmother was thrilled with the surprise, despite thinking it was an actual baby at first.
"Yes I snuck a small little dog into a hospital to make my grandma happy".
