Cosby accuser's mom: 'He admitted he was a sick man'

When Gianna Constand heard about her daughter's accusation of sexual assault against Bill Cosby in early 2005, she quickly confronted the comedian during an nearly two-hour phone call. "He said, 'Mom" - he called me Mom throughout the conversation - 'Don't worry, there was no penile penetration, just digital penetration, '" she said.

Andrea Constand, 44, a former Temple University athletic department employee, also wrapped up her testimony on Wednesday.

Cosby, who was arrested on December 30, 2015, on three charges of aggravated sexual assault, is free on $100,000 cash bail. Cosby has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

During cross-examination, when defense lawyer Angela C. Agrusa implied that Cosby and Andrea were involved in a romantic relationship and that the January 2004 alleged incident was consensual, Gianna Constand adamantly maintained there had been no "physical relationship" between the pair. A staggering 53 of those calls came from Constand, not Cosby, McMonagle said.

Gianni said she even threatened Andrea, saying, "If you don't give me Mr. Cosby's phone number, I'm gonna get on the next flight to go see him".

Johnson testified that Cosby first wooed her and her parents-including her stepfather, a former Los Angeles Police Detective-then drugged and sexually assaulted her. "This man was a trustee at Temple".

The defense lawyer sought to show that Constand changed her mind about the date of the alleged assault. Constand has said neither of those assertions was correct. "He called me "mom" throughout the whole conversation".

At the same time, she said, Mr Cosby became more flirtatious and suggestive - grabbing her thigh at his home and attempting to unbutton her trousers another time. "He is 10 years older than even her own father", the mother testified, breaking down on the stand.

BENSHOFF: That night, she said she was going through something. She was testifying as of Wednesday afternoon. Late in the day, prosecutors called Constand's mother to bolster her daughter's account. Today she took the stand in his sexual assault trial and told her story to a Pennsylvania jury. She said she tried to get him to say what pills he gave her daughter, but was unsuccessful. He said quote, "they're your friends". During that call, Cosby avoided any discussion of the incident and instead suggested he would be willing to pay for Constand to attend graduate school.

Constand has testified about how her professional relationship with the Temple University trustee evolved into a friendship. The defense questioning focused on the jumbled set of details she related to police in interviews.

"I don't really remember how dim the lights were, but I did have to eat my dinner", Ms Constand said. I'm not one to let a situation go. She said she was still woozy when she woke up six hours later.

The dramatic scene was more than a dozen years in the making.

But Feden shot back, asking Constand to read the next line in her police statement, one Agrusa had failed to recount: "It wasn't a romantic time, no". She sued in civil court, and Cosby settled the case in 2006.

It is the only criminal case against him, as most of the alleged abuse happened too long ago to prosecute. Cosby is accused of drugging and sexually assaulting Constand a.
