'Wonder Woman' tops box office with over United States dollars 100 million

"I'd like to bring her a little farther along into the future and have a fun, exciting storyline that is its own thing", she told the Toronto Sun. After receiving great reviews, a stunning rating from Rotten Tomatoes and box office giving it a thumbs up, the Gal Gadot starrer is here to drive Warner Bros and DC towards the right direction. "Patty Jenkins and her exceptional cast and crew-led by the incomparable Gal Gadot-delivered a Wonder Woman that is true to the aspirational hero".

"Wonder Woman" also soars overseas, raking in $122.5 million internationally. "Now they asked me who would win, Wonder Woman or Thor?".

Jenkins is previously best known for directing 2003's "Monster", starring Charlize Theron; "Wonder Woman" is only her second feature film. And I think it's Wonder Woman.

As Kevin Lincoln wrote last week in Vulture, "As the first female-fronted superhero movie of the Marvel era, as well as the first to be helmed by a female director, "Wonder Woman" also carries with it the (unfair) prerogative of proving the worldwide viability of female-oriented tentpoles". "The story will take place in the USA, which I think is right", the director told Entertainment Weekly in a recent interview.

The movie is directed by Patty Jenkins - the first woman to direct a superhero film, with a screenplay by Allan Heinberg and a story by Heinberg, Zack Snyder and Jason Fuchs. "This is the first time I've watched 20 films in 10 days, and I love movies", actress Jessica Chastain said at a news conference.

The Wonder Woman, is a DC Comics character of the same name and is the fourth installment in the DC Extended Universe. "I think on this movie, all of us got it right". "Clearly, this is a movie that is resonating with moviegoers around the globe", Warner Bros. domestic distribution president Jeff Goldstein said, according to THR.

Since its release on 1 June, Wonder Woman has raked in $100.5m (£78m) in the U.S. alone. Coming in at an estimated $100+ million domestically, the movie is now certifiably fresh on Rotten Tomatoes with a 94% rating!
