Porsche 911 GT2 RS revealed at E3 gaming convention

The most powerful Porsche 911 ever will feature in the upcoming Forza Motorsport 7 game - and it's made a surprise real-world debut at a gaming convention in Los Angeles.

Porsche's new GT2 RS features in Forza Motorsport 7.

Full details on the new high-performance Porsche are expected to be revealed at the car's official debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.

The auto is powered by a turbocharged flat six engine that's related to 911 Turbo S's unit but has been ramped up to produce close to 700bhp.

The first game showcased on the new Xbox One X console during the Microsoft E3 Press Event was Forza Motorsport 7.

No official specs of the vehicle have been finalised yet and expected to be confirmed later this year.

For the most part, we'd already seen the GT2 RS out and about during public testing on the Nurburgring.

Porsche has been keeping its up-coming, absolutely insane 911 GT2 RS pretty quiet, although it'll apparently pack much more than 641bhp and have a sub-three second 0-62mph time. But now that the deal has ended, Porsche cars are making their way into many other video game franchises. The 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS will be powered by a twin-turbocharged flat-six, and this super-911 will reportedly use a PDK gearbox and run with rear-wheel-drive. EVO reveals the vehicle will weigh under 3,300 pounds, and crack 0-60 miles per hour in "under three seconds".

Forza Motorsport 7 goes on sale in October.

We learn that the besides 4K resolution and 60 frames per second, the Xbox One X version of the game will have 4K textures, upgrades to the dynamic cubemaps and the lighting mode.
