Cleveland Cavaliers top Golden State Warriors to stay alive

Now down 3-0 in the series, the Cavaliers have a mountain to climb to repeat last year's historic feat.

The Cavaliers trail the Warriors in the series, 3-0, following the 118-113 loss Wednesday night. Not team has ever overcome a 3-0 deficit. No team has ever come back from an 0-3 deficit in the Finals, though three teams forced a Game 6 and one - the 1951 New York Knicks - managed to reach a Game 7.

Now Golden State's championship window is wide-open for years to come if its core stays together, considering Green, Durant, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson are all under 30 years old.

But he sarcastically responded to them Friday before Game 4 of the NBA Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers, saying they were right and "they would all kill us". "It's a long season and you'd hate for it to end this way", LeBron said.

"I just saw an undeniable will to win", Thomas said.

"For us to win", Lue said, "I knew I had to give LeBron at least a two-minute blow in that first quarter because in the second half he might not get a blow". James is widely considered to be the best player in the world, a concept which hasn't changed in the course of the last week, but he doesn't have the supporting cast around him that Durant and Curry do.

"Is it fair? I don't care".

"They're definitely a different team than they were previous year that's definitely in full effect that we're all fully aware of", the Cavs' Kyrie Irving said. "Naturally, you want to blame yourself because you feel just bad because it didn't go in".

"My math's not really good, but they shot over 50 percent, they both had nearly 40 points and they did it for 40-plus minutes", Durant said. So we have to play better and think about what's next, and that's the goal in front of us, is winning that 16th game.

Returning to the "Best NBA Duo" discussion, for a reason I don't fully understand, Abdul-Jabbar isn't appreciated by current fans or the media.

As the clock ticked under a minute, Warriors small forward Kevin Durant secured a defensive rebound and dribbled the ball over to the left wing, where he pulled up and knocked down a 26-foot three-pointer, which gave Golden State a 114-113 lead over the Cavaliers. The Warriors are mentally tougher, hungrier and more in-sync. "We just want a championship and I think we are very capable of finishing ideal".

When you're matching up against one of the most high-powered offenses in National Basketball Association history, there's no margin for error. Without Green in the lineup, the Cavs took Game 5 on the road behind 82 combined points from LeBron James and Kyrie Irving. The Warriors failed to crown a regular season in which they set a record with 73 wins. We obviously have one more job to do and we're not gonna get ahead of ourselves. I played against some great teams, but I don't think any team has had this type of firepower.
