The likes of Sony, Microsoft, Bethesda, Square Enix and others are taking the stage during the event, showcasing new games and consoles. Even worse is that we're not sure whether this is a title that Sony has slated for early in 2018, or the Holiday shopping season. When there are no live events, Twitch will be broadcasting replays of the day's press conferences and showcases.
Insomniac's Spider-Man was announced this time previous year at Sony's E3 conference, and hasn't been seen or heard from since. We expect to hear a lot of exciting news from the publisher including new game announcements, detailed looks at already announced ones, and much more. The game is set in an open-world New York City, similar to past Spider-Man games like the adaptation of 2004's Spider-Man 2. We'll see more on Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, God of War and Days Gone too. The crossover has features you wouldn't expect from either franchise, including multiplayer and exploration elements, so there is a chance we might see gameplay footage to clear things out.
After all this time, what did you think of the reveal?
The combat system looks very Arkham Asylum, except with webs. Both Sony and Microsoft have now released two new versions of their PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles in the previous year, presumably in an effort to continue driving sales even when new, generation-defining hardware isn't quite ready.
