12-Year-Old Big Sister Helps Deliver Baby Brother

Once there, though, she tells Today, "I started crying because I was too short to see anything".

But in the case of 12-year-old Jacee Dellapena, things took a rather dramatic turn when she ended up helping the doctor to deliver her baby brother at a hospital in Mississippi.

Say what? "I was like, are you kidding me?" "Dr Wolfe actually put her hands on the inside of his and allowed her to do the entire delivery", she explains.

Jacee just wanted to see her brother's birth, and got a lot more than she asked for.

- It was quite the learning experience in a MS hospital when a 12-year-old helped deliver her newborn brother.

The rare and emotional moment has given Jacee Dellapena a very special relationship with her new brother.

"Meet Jacee", she wrote on 8 June.

Smith's photos have been shared almost 200,000 times in the week since they were posted.

"I actually, like delivered him, like, he let me actually push down and pull the baby out...." One Facebook user said, "Such a loving and powerful moment in this girl's (daughter/sister's ) life". Are you being real?" says mom, "but the doctor said, 'I'm being serious. "Something so alive. I was really nervous". It's not for everyone but jacee was a rockstar and helped deliver a newborn! "Mother and baby are being discharged home and Jacee is ecstatic about the feedback she's getting".

Jacee's mother Dede shared her happiness with Fox News, saying, "I don't even know if there are words to describe how it felt". Although some of you may not agree with her helping deliver her baby brother, this handsome moment will always be remembered by both her mother and herself. "It was like, oh my goodness, I just delivered a baby, and it's my baby brother, and I'm going to tell him when he gets older that I delivered him".
