The console will come with 1TB of HDD internal storage and 8GB of flash memory, and Microsoft said the new console offers 40 percent more power than any other console.
"Once you play a game for that first time, if it's something you haven't played before, that's where you can be sold on something". Again, Microsoft started well, leaning on the tried and true Forza Motorsport 7 to lead the way with simply sublime graphics and the next iteration of the sim-like racer.
Hot Switch sales also boosted shares of the Japanese company, which ran into a tough patch after it failed to build on the popularity of the first generation of Wii consoles. Every year, E3 showcases the best and the latest of the gaming world, right from gaming rigs to consoles to hundreds of jaw-dropping gaming titles. That's big news, given the crazily popular Early Access version on PC. Promising to tell the story of the beginning of the Assassin order, it's quite a departure for the series-but hopefully a much-needed reboot and a more inspired game than we've seen the last few outings.
In addition, existing Xbox One accessories that consumers already own will be compatible with the Xbox One X, Microsoft said. At this point, only the most hard-core Xbox gamers would still have their original Xbox discs sitting around the house, so it will be interesting to see how Microsoft rolls this out.
PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is officially coming to Xbox One, the game's creator confirmed live during Microsoft's E3 presentation on Sunday.
The thing is, developers won't work on a console that no one uses.
Microsoft just needed one, maybe two new blockbuster exclusives to announce.
"The gaming industry is going to change more in the next five years than it has done in the past 30". Sadly it seems that they're struggling to find and commission more games to fill those gaps in their portfolio, and that's now become a real concern. The Xbox One X measures 300mm x 240mm x 60 mm and weighs 3.8 kg which is a lot heavier than the 2.9 kilo Xbox One S and 3.54 kilo Xbox One. Instead, Halo was completely absent this year.
Microsoft announce Xbox One X will release November 7 for $499 in the US.
