New iPad Pro, MacBook Pro, iMac India costs announced

All in all, it looks like even if the MacBook Air is still alive, it's not in its best possible shape especially if we also take into consideration the fact that it will not even receive Intel's Kaby Lake processors. In the official press release, an update to the 13-inch MacBook Air was also revealed though not really striking. Apple introduced upgraded MacBook Pros and iMacs yesterday that provide quite the leap in performance and brighter displays.

Moving on to the Intel Kaby Lake-infused MacBook Pro lineup, the 13-inch version without a Touch Bar will set buyers back by Rs 109900, the 13-inch one with a Touch Bar by Rs 154900, and the 15-inch one with a Touch Bar by Rs 205900.

The latest 10.5 inch iPad Pro starts at Rs. 52,900 for the 64GB Wi-Fi model, Rs. 60,900 for 256GB, and Rs. 76,900 for the 512GB model. Starting this year though, Apple has come up with a new product line referred to as the iMac Pro. Fusion drive is now standard on all 27-inch iMacs and high-end 21.5-inch iMac.

The revitalized iMac range of PCs has displays of up to 500 Nits that are 43% brighter. The hardest part of that is dealing with heat, because the iMac Pro will feature Intel Xeon processors in 8-core, 10-core, or 18-core configurations. The non-Retina, entry-level iMac gets an Intel Iris Plus 640 GPU, and the 21.5-inch with 4K offers the Radeon Pro 555 and 560 graphics cards. However, the dimensions of the new 10.5-inch iPad Pro are not that big, since the device comes with 40% slimmer bezels.

The iMac Pro features a 5K display and, thanks to the added muscle under the hood, can support two additional 5K displays, something Apple says it has never offered before. It comes with 5K Retina display that supports 1 billion colors.

Included in the package is also a Belkin USB-C to 4-port USB-A hub, and a $100 promo code towards the purchase of HTC Vive VR headset.

No mention was made of the Mac mini or Mac Pro, though Apple has already said that the Mac Pro is in the middle of a major redesign that won't be done until 2018 at the earliest (see "Maca Culpa: Apple Admits Mac Pro Missteps and Promises More Transparency", 4 April 2017). With a modular format, you should be able to simply slot in new components as they become available - including, I'm sure, CPU and GPU. It features a Touch ID fingerprint sensor, Four speaker audio for better audio experience.

Another interesting and maybe anticipated feature is the "True Tone". On the front, there is a 7-megapixel HD front-facing camera with ƒ/2.2 aperture and 1080p video recording.
