Lavrov: Russia makes efforts to resolve Qatar dispute

Qatar have denied all allegations linking them to supporting armed militant groups but that seems to have no impact on the situation as all of UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain, Libya, Yemen and the Maldives have already closed its airspace to all flights to and fro from Doha.
"Meeting on the sidelines of a regional security summit in Kazakhstan, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi told Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif that peace and stability in the Gulf accords with the common interests of the region and the global community".
Kuwait's ruling emir has traveled to Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar to try and mediate the crisis that began June 5.
Kuwait - which unlike most of its fellow Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) members has not cut ties with Qatar - has led mediation efforts.
The Bahraini information ministry Thursday announced the Government will take legal action against any media outlet that will express sympathy towards Qatar, a day after United Arab Emirates (UAE) announced three to fifteen-years in jail for authors of reports contrary to state's official position.
Trump said he decided it was time to call on Qatar to end its funding of terrorism.
Turkey has also stepped in to help Qatar, supplying the desert country with dairy products.
The meeting between Lavrov and Al Thani comes more than a week after Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain made a decision to cut diplomatic relations with Qatar and halt trade with the country.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, on the other hand, has approved sending troops to an existing Turkish base in Qatar as a sign of support.
The Arab states have also ordered Qataris out within 14 days.
"For Qatar, we want you back among the unity of responsible nations", Trump said, calling on the Gulf nation to stop funding terrorism and teaching hate.
Analysts say the current crisis is in part an extension of a 2014 dispute, when Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Bahrain temporarily recalled their ambassadors from Doha over Qatari support for Egypt´s Muslim Brotherhood.
Eritrea declined a request by Saudi Arabia and the UAE to cut diplomatic ties with Qatar, according to a statement issued by Eritrean foreign ministry.
