Katy Perry opens up on livestream about suicidal thoughts

"I wrote a song about [suicide]", said Perry.

Perry opened up about her personal experience with suicidal thoughts and depression live with Siri Sat Nam Singh, a licensed therapist featured in Viceland's "The Therapist", E!

"She told me about the power in black women's hair and how attractive it is and the struggle", Perry continued.

Perry invited her friends Sia, Anna Kendrick and Patty Jenkins to begin a conversation about their thoughts on sex, love and feminism. "I love you so much", before adding, "Now my face smells like trash".

There was an apology to Taylor Swift that essentially squashed the pair's three-year feud, and Perry also played a game of dirty charades with drag queen extraordinaire RuPaul, but no one could have predicted what came next.

"It's not just been a one time that I've felt really low", Perry shared. Next up, Perry listed her latest love Orlando Bloom.

Swift, one of the most prominent foes of Spotify, suddenly released her music on all streaming platforms Friday at the exact moment Perry's "Witness" came out. "There are bigger fish to fry, and there are real problems in the world", she continued. "I forgive her and I'm sorry for anything I ever did, and I hope the same from her".

However, despite favoring Diplo over the other guys, the star said, "they're all fantastic lovers", and she doesn't regret hooking up with any of them.

So the hit maker is turning her own attention to her "authentic" self, a side she didn't think was good enough - until now.

"I always thought it was like, you know, too intimate, like a sexual thing", she said. "I didn't want to look like Katy Perry anymore", she said. She also added during the interview, "That's the point of this whole thing, if people can see I'm just like them then they can dream just as big".

Meanwhile, Katy was praised on social media over the weekend when she broke down in tears during a counselling session during the live stream, when she revealed that she cut her hair because she's "tired of trying to be Katy Perry and not Kathryn Hudson".

Of course Perry is sharing a lot more with her fans these days as part of a 96-hour livestream event on YouTube.
