Google launches Daydream View on Flipkart at ₹ 6499

Google has finally launched the much expected Daydream View headset and controller in India, which will be available exclusively on Flipkart for Rs 6,499 starting from today.

Google's first made by Google phone Pixel has been already launched in India and both the devices are Daydream-ready phones.

For those who don't know, the Daydream View headset is supported by limited number of smartphones.

According to a recent press release, Daydream View delivers simple, high-quality VR, and which users can always users to get the best seat in the house and experience sports, live events and more in full 360 degree panoramic view. Daydream-ready phones are built with high-resolution displays, powerful mobile processors and high-fidelity sensors - all tuned to support great VR experiences.

Made with soft, breathable fabric and created to fit over eye glasses, the Daydream View headset makes sure comfort is never compromised. It boasts of an auto-alignment system wherein users need not worry about cables or connectors to attach phone with the headset. But, Google has taken special efforts in making the Daydream View VR headset comfortable.

Users can view VR content using the headset and navigate the virtual world using the controller, which will help with directional navigation and interaction in the virtual world.

It also comes with a smart remote, which comes packed with sensors that respond precisely to a user's movement and gestures - swing it like a cricket bat or wave it like a magic wand. The controller can be placed into a slot inside the Daydream headset when you're not using it. Daydream on the other hand is more high-end, which has its sight set on serving you with higher-quality experiences to Android Nougat, and Android O users. Samsung has also promised to make the Galaxy S8 Daydream compatible soon. With Daydream View, you can watch movies, TV shows, and even play VR games.

He added that Google is working with developers, smartphone companies, and content creators to make VR accessible to all. There is also a healthy collection of games available on Daydream - Need for Speed No limits VR, Fantastic Beasts VR and so on. Also the first 30 customers will receive a Google Chromecast free, and the first 50 customers will receive Google Play Store Credit worth Rs 500.
