Man United's Mourinho deserves 'The Special One' name - Pogba

Manchester United midfielder and French global Paul Pogba on Friday praised his club's head coach Jose Mourinho and said the Portuguese deserved to be called as a "special one".

Despite criticism aimed at Pogba this season, the 24-year-old created more chances (57), completed more passes (1,812) and completed more take ons (75) than any other Manchester United player in the league.

Herrera made 50 appearances across all competitions for United last season and scored two goals.

United have already been linked with several attacking targets, with a deal reported to be close for Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata. He trusted and defended me.

Manchester United need to bring in "flair players" during the summer transfer window, says former captain Bryan Robson.

"He is the Special One because he wins", Pogba told Sky Sports on Thursday.

"I had to adapt to the English football but the more I trained the better it got". "Sometimes he does some extreme things".

They did land three trophies in 2016-17, but have released top goalscorer Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and Robson believes added creativity and firepower will be required to push the club on.

Herrera was named as the man of the match as Manchester United beat Ajax 2-0 in the Europa League final to secure their return to the Champions League for next season. "He deserves his name", he added. The Frenchman spent four seasons with the Bianconeri, establishing himself as one of the best midfielders in the world and United bought him for €100 million in 2016 as they sought to rebuild their side under Jose Mourinho.

Both Herrera and Pogba's performances improved dramatically, with the duo playing key roles in the club's EFL Cup and Europa League triumphs.
