Football Fans React After £79million Star Agrees to Join Manchester United

Manchester United are increasingly hopeful of completing the signing of Alvaro Morata after the Real Madrid striker informed the European champions that he would like to leave Santiago Bernabeu this summer. Those comments opened the door frenzied speculation that both may move to Old Trafford in a blockbuster deal.

The club had been linked to Torino striker Andrea Belotti, but it looks like Manchester United will welcome Morata to Old Trafford first.

The development comes as Zlatan Ibrahimovic was officially released by United, although the striker will continue his rehabilitation from a knee injury at the club.

That money, along with expected income from Alvaro Morata, is set to be used in a chase for Kylian Mbappe, so it's a vital cog of the rumour mill.

Despite starting so infrequently, Morata scored 15 La Liga goals last season - second only to Cristiano Ronaldo in the Real squad - and netted, on average, every 81 minutes.

The English publication has claimed that Morata is United's top attacking target, and has agreed a deal in principle. It was a great season, but he wants to play more.

"He doesn't want to go through another season like that".

Calciomercato.com revealed earlier last week that Morata is Manchester United's striking target priority for the summer.

Apparently, Los Blancos want more than €75 million, although they know that they might be forced to settle for around those €70 million mentioned above.
