The 28-year-old batting sensation earned $22 million during the most recent 12 months; $3 million through compensation and rewards, and $19 million through brand supports. However, Forbes noted that he gets more from sponsorships.
Fighting three times in 2016 and breaking UFC pay-per-view records along the way, McGregor netted $34 million total, including $27 million in fight purses and another $7 million in endorsements.
Topping the list is Cristiano Ronaldo, who has been named as the world's highest-paid athlete.
McGregor made $18 million with $4 million in endorsements previous year to make the number 85 spot during his first appearance on the Forbes Highest Paid Athlete list, however he claimed to have made upwards of $40 million.
Aldridge was No. 29 out of 32 National Basketball Association players on the list.
The only women athlete who stands at number 51 in the overall list of the Forbes magazine is the Serena Williams who is the 23 times Grand Slam victor. Jimmie Johnson at No. 93 ($21.8 million) was among two NASCAR drivers to make the list.
Forbes' earnings figures include salaries, bonuses, prize money, appearance fees, as well as licensing and endorsement income for the past 12 months.
