Results: Men (prefix denotes seedings): Round 4: 6-Dominic Thiem (Aut) bt Horacio Zeballos (Arg) 6-1, 6-3, 6-1; 20-Pablo Carreno (Esp) bt 5-Milos Raonic (Can) 4-6, 7-6 (2), 6-7 (6), 6-4, 8-6; 4-Rafael Nadal (Esp) bt 17-Roberto Bautista (Esp) 6-1, 6-2, 6-2.

In remaining women's third-round matches, second-seeded Karolina Pliskova of the Czech Republic brushed aside Germany's Carina Witthoeft, 7-5, 6-1; No. 5 Elina Svitolina of Ukraine won, 6-4, 7-5, against Magda Linette, and Croatian qualifier Petra Martic upset 17th-seeded Anastasija Sevastova, 6-1 6-1.

With security already a top priority at the All-England Club this summer, per Leo Spall of ESPN.com, players should feel safe about competing in the biggest event on the tennis calendar.

The 23-year-old Thiem will face nine-time French Open champion Rafael Nadal next.

PARIS The two men's quarter-final matches due to be played at the French Open on Tuesday have been postponed until Wednesday after rain disrupted play at Roland Garros, organizers said.

Nadal and Carreno Busta have faced off three times with Nadal winning all three matches, with two matches on the red-clay courts of Rio.

Nadal was leading 6-2, 2-0 when Carreno Busta retired after suffering abdominal injury.

The 12-time grand slam victor, who equalled Jimmy Connors' mark of 233 triumphs in grand slam singles matches, has not found progress at Roland Garros particularly easy and now faces sixth seed Dominic Thiem in the semi-finals.

Djokovic has now reached the quarter-final of the ongoing French Open where he will play Dominic Thiem on Tuesday.

"I don't know how many games I lost this year, but I really don't care about this".

The third-seeded Swiss player fell and rolled into the net as he set up match point but he dusted himself down to win the match with an ace.

McEnroe was surprised by the manner in which the Serbian fell to pieces in the last eight, saying he looked like he did not want to be on court at Roland Garros. He has dropped just 25 games in four matches and has yet to drop a set.

McEnroe has never been one to mince his words and the American great was straight to the point with his verdict on the manner in which Djokovic crashed out.

Fourth seed Nadal recorded his 100th best-of-five-sets victory on clay - from just 102 matches.

Meanwhile, Caroline Garcia reached the quarter-finals at Roland Garros by beating fellow Frenchwoman Alize Cornet 6-2 6-4 on Monday but for the crowd the most anticipated moment was La Bise (The Kiss). "I had an 0-5 record against him".
