This new MacBook Pro keeps the slimmer design that Apple introduced a year ago, offers good battery life and on most models you get Touch ID and the new Touch Bar for fast access to some controls. Meanwhile, the new iPad Pro has only an Apple proprietary Lightning port and a 3.5mm audio jack. Surface Pro fans, on the other hand, would never buy an Apple iPad. The iMac Pro has a leg up in gaming, where these cards typically come into play the most, but that's not the target iMac Pro buyer. "But if the baseline screens aren't good enough, you can now upgrade to a 4K Retina display on the 21.5" iMac and a 5K Retina display on the 27" iMac.
