Apple's Phil Schiller unveils the new look App Store for iOS 11.
Twitter user Devon T has revealed that iOS 11 has a new volume indicator that no longer obstructs the centre of the screen, as it does now. You could release the best app ever and accumulate a host of reviews and fantastic ratings, but when the time comes to upgrade your app to add in new features or sort out bugs - poof! With this spring cleaning, Apple forces the iPhone 5, iPhone 5c and iPad 4 to stay under iOS 10.
IOS 11 has brought along a host of new features, some targeted to exclusively elevate iPad experience, and some focused on improving both - the iPhone and iPad.
Redesigned control center: Apple has done a complete redesign of the iOS control center with iOS 11. Now you can access the dock from any screen. While they were subtle changes, they speak to an improved AR system that actually incorporates the visuals it receives from the iPhone's camera instead of just using it as a glorified backdrop.
As an added bonus, iOS 11 testers say Apple is finally letting users play GIF animations natively in the Photos app. Interestingly, both the apps remain active in the split view. When you've ready through the agreement, click Accept to move on.
Called "Wi-Fi password sharing", the feature lets you share Wi-Fi passwords with friends.
Siri has also become more predictive across different iOS apps.
Apple is also making some improvements for Bluetooth LE HomeKit accessories by introducing new secure-broadcast notifications that allow for much improved sub-second latencies. Users can allow certain contacts to get through so "you have the peace of mind that you can get contacted", Federighi said.
A new feature which stops a driver receiving notifications on an iPhone when it detects the device is in a vehicle is being introduced to the next version of the phone's operating system. You can also run three apps at once and easily switch between them.
iOS 11 features AirPlay 2.
"The new app ARKit will use 'fast, stable motion tracking", and also as scale estimation and medium lighting estimation for a lot of captivating version of expanded reality.
