Epic's Fortnight Enters Paid Early Access on July 25

Fortnite, the resource-scavenging, fort-building, wave-based zombie shooter from Epic Games, is finally releasing this July 25. Players will band together online to explore the world for resources, build extravagant forts, find or build insane weapons and traps as they protect their towns from the unusual monsters that emerge during the Storm.

The prices combined with the fact that the game is going free-to-play makes this a completely absurd offer. Now, nearly six years after it was announced, Epic says the game will enter Early Access next month. We do know that Cliff Bleszinski, one of the lead creatives at Epic, left the company back in 2012 to take a hiatus from game development. For pre-order information, you can visit Epic Games right here.

You too can have early access to the Early Access Season. This action-packed fort defense/builder title is hitting early access on Xbox One, PS4, PC and Mac on July 25. Anyone who knows that they want to get in on this might want to consider pre-ordering the Founder's pack, as people who do will get access to game earlier, July 21, as well as an exclusive Storm Master Weapon Pack. It's really asking a lot for a game that we've seen nearly nothing of and is going to be free-to-play down the line.

I've been playing an early version of early access release all week and if you ask me, the early access period is probably a good call.
