"When a coach says that the player can spend eight hours on court when the temperature is 45 degrees Celsius and that he gets cramps in the fourth set, there's a problem", said Giudicelli, referring to Lucas Pouille who lost against Spain's Albert Ramos-Vinolas 6-2 3-6 5-7 6-2 6-1 in the third round.

Lendl has reunited with Murray for the first tournament since the Australian Open having watched his charge's struggles from afar.

Rafael Nadal's forehand is one of the most destructive shots ever seen while his semi-final opponent Dominic Thiem's single-handed backhand, loaded with fizzing topspin, is also becoming one of the most feared weapon's in tennis. Djokovic does not traditionally play a warm-up between the grand slams at Roland Garros and SW19 and has hinted he will take time away from the practice court in order to recharge his batteries.

The 25-year-old then broke Garcia as the Frenchwoman served to stay in the match to clinch just her second semifinal appearance at a Grand Slam event.

Wednesday's defeat to Thiem was Djokovic's first straight-sets loss at a major in four years and comes just 12 months after he completed the career Grand Slam in Paris.

In the Race to London, with the tour approaching the half-way stage of the season, three of these men are among the top four: Rafael Nadal at the top, Dominic Thiem at No3, and Stan Wawrinka at No4.

"I love to play here, I love you guys, you're unbelievable".

If Halep wins the tournament, she will rise to the top of the rankings for the first time.

The Djokovic-Thiem victor will face Rafael Nadal in the semifinals. On Friday is Nadal. "It's all about playing the right way, the right match, and Murray is a genius at that".

Shortly before play is supposed to start, the temperature is 57 degrees F (14 degrees Celsius).

"They can prevent losing it by wearing the other guy down, but he can go out there and win it off his racket".

Simona Halep has beaten No. 2 Karolina Pliskova to reach the French Open final, where she will face the unseeded Jelena Ostapenko.
