Apple Announces the Most Powerful Mac Workstation Ever (Plus MacBook Updates)

It will come in December starting at about $5,000.

Apple Inc. upgraded most of its Mac computers on Monday, including a powerful new offering for professional users, showing renewed commitment to a product line that critics say it neglected amid lackluster growth.

Unfortunately, Apple is still holding out most of the details as the Xeon and Radeon Vega iMac Pro won't start shipping until December, with a starting price of USA $4,999.

Apple also yesterday updated MacBook and MacBook Pro with faster processors, added faster SSDs to MacBook and introduced a new US$1,299 13-inch MacBook Pro.

WWDC 2017: iMac Pro supports up to 4TB of SSD and up to 128GB of ECC memory, and with four Thunderbolt 3 ports can connect to up to two high-performance RAID arrays and two 5K displays at the same time.
