Why didn't Usher perform at Ariana Grande's One Love Manchester benefit concert?

The evening featured tributes from Coldplay, Black Eyed Peas, Katy Perry, Robbie Williams, Little Mix, Pharrell Williams, Niall Horan, Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber. It sucked. It was hard for you guys and it was hard for me because we all love music.

Highlights of the show included a surprise appearance by Mancunian Liam Gallagher, who was joined by Coldplay for a rendition of the Oasis hit Live Forever, which ended with Gallagher throwing his tambourine into the crowd.

One of the most powerful moments was when the Parrs Wood High School Choir performed Grande's "My Everything" with the singer.

"I don't want to feel or hear or see any fear in this building", USA singer Pharrell Williams told the crowd as he led them in a rendition of his hit single Happy. 'All we feel here tonight is love, resilience, positivity'.

According to the Telegraph, the concert raised more than £2 million in donations which will be given to the families of those affected by the Manchester terrorist attack.

He continued: " My thanks goes to those who joined us at the events today and remained patient as we carried out an increased number of searches to ensure everyone remained safe and enjoyed themselves.

The star is yet to comment on his absence, but adding even more intrigue to him skipping out on the big show, his last tweet was posted just after 7pm on June 4 (which is when the show) began and was a link to stream the concert online.

Currently, Ariana is being held very close within the hearts of the nation- with the singer doing everything she can to raise awareness and money for the Manchester relief aid.

"I want to thank you so much for coming together for being so strong and unified", she said.

Ariana Grande and her tour crew have honoured the victims of the Manchester bombing by getting tattoos of the city's bee symbol, according to reports.

"There is nothing I or anyone can do to take away the pain you are feeling or to make this better". Opening with "Be Alright", she also performed "Break Free", and "Side to Side". We love you so much.

Other pictures show her hugging youngsters on the ward, with one father left in tears by the visit. "All week you have been incredible and as a friend, I'm so proud of you my love", he stated, going on to describe the artiste as an wonderful person.
