There's an open casting call for the 'Fantastic Beasts' sequel

If you're aged between 13 and 18 you'd best get your wand ready because Pottermore wants YOU to audition for a role in the upcoming Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them sequel. They planned a revolution together to end the International Statute of Secrecy and planned to create a world where wizards and witches ruled over muggles. Grindelwald still moved forward with his plans, and the movie will likely retell some of that history. The Leaky Caludron spotted an open casting call from Warner Bros. for five young actors - and reminds hopefuls that Evanna Lynch was once just one of 15000 would-be Luna Lovegoods.

"Fantastic Beasts 2" will show Newt (Eddie Redmayne) as a teenager, and Warner holding open auditions to find the right actor. Arriving in NY for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident, were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt's fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds. Queenie (Alison Sudol), who is a Legilimens (a witch who can read feelings and memories), told Newt that he should move on.

What do you make of this casting call?

Not to mention Leta Lestrange's connection to Newt...

It's unclear if we're going to see this play out in the film, but it could reveal a lot about the relationship between Newt and Leta.

David Yates will direct the film, based on a script by JK Rowling. "Newt is still absolutely in love with [Leta], so she has a kind of power over him", he told Bustle in November.

To apply, send an email to [email protected] with a recent colour photograph, telephone number, address and date of birth.

No previous acting experience is necessary, but applicants need to be eligible to work in the UK (meaning they must be a UK, Irish or European Union passport holder), and be available for filming between August and November 2017. We know that the franchise will span two decades, starting in 1926 with Fantastic Beasts and coming to a close with the fifth instalment in 1945. The deadline for applications is Tuesday, June 20. However, some American characters will tag along for the sequel.

Fantastic Beasts 2 will cast its magic on audiences on November 16, 2018.
