Predators even Stanley Cup Final at 2-2

As the Predators have evened the series with two decisive wins on the scoreboard, Rinne has turned aside 50 of 52 shots for a.962 save percentage. Arvidsson scored on a breakaway after Fisher poked the puck ahead to him while he was falling to the ice. He became the first defenseman with three points in a period in a Stanley Cup Final game since Larry Murphy had three assists for Pittsburgh on May 23, 1991, against Minnesota.

Nashville Predators right wing Craig Smith, center, celebrates a goal by teammate Calle Jarnkrok, not shown, as Pittsburgh Penguins goalie Matt Murray, bottom, falls on the ice during the first period in Game 4 of the National Hockey League hock.

Their favorite hockey team just tied the Stanley Cup Final at two games apiece following Monday night's exhilarating 4-1 win over the reigning champion Pittsburgh Penguins. Despite the struggles, though, I expect the 23-year-old to be between the pipes in Game 5 back home. Filip Forsberg got one via the empty net. Crosby's game-tying goal at 15:57 in the opening frame was his 161st career point in the playoffs, good for 20th all-time. A 3-1 deficit figures to be a hill too steep against the brilliant Penguins, despite the fact that their star, Sidney Crosby, has yet to score a goal in the series.

Then Crosby, held without a shot for only the fifth time in the postseason in his career, tied it up for Pittsburgh on a breakaway.

In Game 4, the Predators gave the home crowd plenty to cheer for.

Was that coach Mike Sullivan after the Penguins lost Game 4 in Nashville on Monday night to slip into a 2-2 deadlock in the series?

Moments later, Nashville goalie Pekka Rinne stopped Sidney Crosby's backhander on a breakaway, then slid back to his right to stop Guentzel in a frantic scramble. Crosby's last Stanley Cup Final goal was in Game 4 against Detroit in 2009.

The Penguins head back to Pittsburgh having been outscored 9-2 in Nashville.

Another fan said, "I actually was on the plaza down here on Broadway for New Year's Eve 2016, and it was not that insane on New Year's Eve even". The Penguins challenged the call, claiming that Smith had interfered with goaltender Matt Murray, but the goal was upheld after a review.

What I do buy is that the Penguins need to convert chances, that they need to find a way to fix the power play, that Phil Kessel needs to get going and that they need to start winning a faceoff here and there - especially in the offensive zone. The question was, would the Penguins come back to their arena and win their fifth Stanley Cup on home ice and the first pro championship in the city since 1960?

The Penguins improved in some aspects of their game on Monday, but they were bad in terms of giving the puck away. "Could have had (different) results in both those games".

Charles Barkley has taken advantage of a day off in the NBA Finals and accepted NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman's invitation to come watch the Stanley Cup Final in person.

Of greater importance to the zanies who pack this barn is the fact there will be one more hockey game in Smashville this season.

When you get to the playoffs, you might have extra guys.
