The company will also host a separate event in India. Yes, we're speaking about the OnePlus 5 itself, which will be officially on June 20, a little two weeks away from now.
The smartphone will go on sale just after the launch and the device will be soon available through different channels in the country.
OnePlus has posted a teaser from its Twitter handle where it has put out the details of OnePlus 5 launch event. The exact nature of the camera has not been revealed, but rumors indicate that it will feature a 16-megapixel selfie shooter and a 23-megapixel rear-facing camera or a possible dual-camera setup.
"All fans who attend the launch event will get a gift hamper full of super add-ons and OnePlus merchandise".
The Indian launch details came even as fresh images of the OnePlus 5 were leaked on the web.
For OnePlus, the 3 and 3T was a widely acclaimed phone, which has been fairly popular in India as well.
However, this isn't the only leaked image that has come out of the OnePlus 5. OnePlus is reportedly known to have partnered with DxO Mark in order to work on the dual-lens camera for the flagship.
We're interested about the violet version because this is the first time OnePlus is using a non-neutral color. Interestingly, both the leaked renders of the smartphone suggest that the upcoming flagship from OnePlus will suggest a design similar to Apple's iPhone 7 Plus, which was launched a year ago. The dual cameras are placed at the top rear right of the phone, followed by a dual-tone LED flash. Another bit that is nearly confirmed is that the phone will be powered by Oxygen OS based on Android Nougat.
Other features of the phone may include 5.5-inch display, 8 GB RAM and Android 7.1 Nougat out-of-the-box.
Earlier OnePlus CEO Pete Lau also said that it will be the thinnest OnePlus phone ever. This much is certain though some rumours have also hinted at 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
