Meanwhile, the 15-inch MacBook Pro will be getting faster standard graphics.
The main change brought by the update is the addition of the Kaby Lake processors. SSD storage options are now up to 50 percent faster, and iMac comes with Thunderbolt 3, the most powerful and versatile port ever.
The heart of the new iPad Pro is a new, desktop-class A10X Fusion chip with six-cores and a 12-core GPU.
Safari's been improved too, and is apparently 80% faster than Chrome, and graphics performance should be better as well, thanks to Metal 2 (a new developer language), which also includes support for VR.
Aside from the much-needed performance bump, everything else about the MacBook Pros is the same.
Apple is expected to unveil the new iPad Pro this week, but it seems that the redesigned version of the iMac and MacBook lineups won't hit the shelves until 2018. The new 10.5-inch iPad Pro differs in size while keeping the remaining specifications intact.
At WWDC 2017, it was clear Apple didn't quite kill the MacBook Air as rumours had suggested, but considering the upgrade it got, its lifespan doesn't seem very long. You can now get up to 32GB RAM on 21.5-inch models and 64GB on 27-inch models, though be prepared to pay through the nose for the experience.
At the WWDC 2017 keynote, Apple announced updates to its line of hardware and software.
There is also a brand new 13-inch MacBook Pro configuration which will arrive without the Touch Bar, but it will start at a more affordable price, $1,299.
That description means the new all-in-one machine will rival the current Mac Pro which will be replaced with a modular version in the future.
"We're thrilled to give developers and customers a sneak peek at iMac Pro". Intel Xeon processors without the power limitations you might expect, and indeed up to a whopping 18-cores. The 21.5-inch Retina iMac with the newer display and updated innards now starts at Rs. 1,07,900, compared to Rs. 1,23,900 for the earlier starting price of the Retina iMac range. To differentiate it from your normal, run-of the mill iMacs, the iMac Pro also gets a different, space gray colour scheme.
Available at the end of the year, Apple is also including four Thunderbolt 3 ports and a 10GB ethernet connection on the back of the iMac Pro, allowing professionals to connect both external storage drives, as well as external graphics cards as needed.
