Apple to introduce iPhone app to prevent distracted driving

It is created to work with the Apple Music subscription service and can produce rich sound while tapping into the artificial intelligence power of Siri. And, with HomeKit integration similar to what's available on the iPhone, the user can ask Siri, via their HomePod to control connected devices in their home.

Apple, however, doesn't want the HomePod to just be a speaker, but rather a computer for the whole home.

The company also announced some desktop OS features for the iPad, and revealed its plans to become an augmented reality powerhouse.

The tech includes augmented reality features for the first time, allowing developers to superimpose virtual objects onto a live feed from the firm's camera.

Apple also made improvements to Siri including making the assistant's voice sound more natural when responding to users. Siri will also do English voice translations for a number of languages including Chinese, Spanish, German, French and Italian. It will feature recommendations of new releases and updates, videos, charts for games. Apple packed in a ton of power performance into a tiny seven-inch (6.8 if we're being nitpicky) speaker.
