Apple iOS 11 unveiled

iOS 11's Messages app will get a new update, which features an automatic synchronising of all your conversations across your iOS and macOS devices.
ARKit allows developers to tap into the latest computer vision technologies to build virtual content on top of real-world scenes for interactive gaming, immersive shopping experiences, industrial design and more. Although the format is not exclusive to Apple, it's not yet clear of how well the photos will work with non-Apple software and devices, which mostly use JPEG.
The last operating system was unveiled in June 2016, and Apple is following the same pattern this year, as iOS 11 was recently released for developers, and a beta version will be available this summer.
Most with an iPhone or iPad will be used to iOS 10, the most recent version of Apple's mobile operating system.
One feature people are particularly excited about is Siri's new voice - the update will give Siri a more natural male and female voice, as well as a new visual interface.
Apple News app will offer personalized top stories and suggestions from Siri. A searchable handwriting feature makes it easy to search for handwritten text or characters using machine learning.
iOS 11 makes multitasking on iPad even more powerful with a new customizable Dock that provides quick access to frequently used apps and documents from any screen, and a redesigned app switcher makes it easier to move between pairs of active apps, used in Split View and now Slide Over. Apple responded by consistently highlighting the role of machine learning in its own products, how it enhances user privacy and by launching developer tools.
Apple has been playing catch-up on a variety of cutting-edge tech fronts, allowing competitors to take the lead on the next big computing platforms, all driven by artificial intelligence. Augmented reality is the blending of the physical and virtual worlds.
