Tom Cruise Is a Risky, Drug-Peddling Pilot — American Made' Trailer

Although it's certainly nice to see Cruise as a guy with all the answers in the Mission: Impossible movies, he's far more charming in movies like Edge of Tomorrow.

Check out the American Made trailer below. Indeed, Tom Cruise and Doug Liman (who also directed The Bourne Identity and Mr. & Mrs. Smith) are joining forces once more.

The Universal Pictures release will have the two collaborating on an aerial/espionage adventure tale at least ostensibly based on a true story.

Set in the shimmering 1980s, and starring Tom Cruise in the lead role, the film is based on the factual accounts of Barry Seal; a drugs baron involved in one of the largest covert operations in U.S. history. "Seal's role in this major Central Intelligence Agency covert operation led in turn to his involvement with the Medellin cartel, which ultimately embarrassed the Reagan White House after the Iran-Contra scandal became public". I like anti-heroes and I love this character Barry Seal, who is basically playing the C.I.A. against Pablo Escobar against The White House against the Drug Enforcement Agency.

"American Made" opens in theaters September 29.

In the film, Cruise portrays 1980s pilot and hustler Barry Seal.

Tom, 54, stars alongside Domhnall Gleeson, Sarah Wright and Jesse Plemons in the movie by Edge Of Tomorrow director Doug Liman.

American Made is set for release on August 25th in the United Kingdom and on September 29th in the States.
